The XC90 plug-in hybrid has one powertrain option: the T8 AWD.

A 19 kWh lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor on the SUV’s rear wheels. A high-performance petrol engine with e-boost and turbo technology drives the front wheels. And its equipped with an all-wheel drive system that’s available regardless of battery charge.

Choose from five drive modes that adapt the car for efficiency, power or tougher roads: Hybrid, Power, Pure, Off-road and Constant All-wheel Drive (AWD).

One pedal drive
The T8 AWD powertrain features one pedal drive to improve efficiency and make driving smoother. Speed up and slow down using just the accelerator.

Matrix-design LED technology improves visibility with its long light pattern and smooth transitions. The high beams adjust automatically to avoid dazzling other drivers. Cornering lights illuminate your surroundings at low speeds, helping you manoeuvre turns in the dark.

Look out for the welcome or farewell light sequence as you approach or leave the car – a luminous shimmer to mark every trip.

Spacious and flexible boot

The XC90 boot is designed with a wide, flat floor with no lip to make loading and unloading easier.

A 7-seat XC90 have a capacity of up to 298 litres with the rear backrests up.

Lots to pack? Fold down rear seat backrests individually or in rows to adjust the space. There’s also a 31-litre storage area under the floor.

Open and close the power-operated tailgate hands-free by kicking under the rear bumper. You can also use buttons on the tailgate, centre display and key fob.
